Assorted random miscellany of the tangential sort and otherwise
Unfortunately you could draw one of these for every young man and woman who dies in the military as well as police departments, fire departments and any who choose to serve others before themselves. Unless you have had a loved one who puts him/herself in harms way it is really hard to understand that stab of fear that goes right to your heart whenever an unidentified soldier, police officer, etc is reported as being killed in the line of duty. Then when you hear it wasn't yours you feel relief but know it is someone's loved one.
